1.) When garbage collectors don’t pick up the garbage (due to snow or whatever) but charge you anyway! The theory behind this is that you can leave out twice the garbage the following week.
2.) When people don’t pull up quickly at traffic lights, thus preventing me and others from getting into the left and/or right turn lanes and missing the light.
3.) People, especially pregnant women, who count time in units called months which have four weeks. People, there are on average 4.33 weeks in a month. If there were 4 weeks, we’d have 13 months (52/4 = 13). Pregnancy, which lasts 40 weeks, consists of roughly 9 periods of 4.33 weeks, or, nine months — note 10! For some reason, this really drives me nuts.
