high heels

Fun with shoes.  I think the ones B is wearing look the most dramatic, but I can’t walk in them, so I’m leaning towards the ones L is wearing.  I’m not a huge fan of the slingbacks, though they, too, are a lot easier to walk in than the sky high heels.  I don’t understand how some women (lawyers) can walk in shoes like that day in and day out.  (Becca?)  I guess practice makes perfect.

All shoes are Sam Edelman and courtesy of Amazon’s Prime shipping and free returns.

I would vote for either yours or the ones on B, primarily because the heel on L’s is rather clunky and therefore doesn’t say “fancy” to me as much as the others.

But there is something to be said for ease of walking as well…lol.

I liked mine the best but I had to veto them because I literally could not walk on them. I ended up wearing the chunky ones, and I think they looked nice enough, and were quite comfortable, relatively speaking. I should really learn to walk on proper heels, though.

First you look fantastic. I have always been ok in clunky heels because I like feeling tall – especially in boots (which is funny because it seems like the low heeled knee high riding boot appears to be all the rage in DC right now). But the lawyerly pump drives me crazy – they are boring and hard to walk in. I buy Rockports basic black and nude pumps because they are high enough quality (leather) and still comfortable. The best new lawyerly trend right now (and lawyers do wear pumps) is block heels. They really are on trend right now AND are perfectly comfortable (example: https://luxury.zappos.com/p/kate-spade-new-york-dillian-black/product/8987373/color/3)

Wow, Becca, those flats are definitely pricey. I actually really like the Sam Edelman flats I have. But if I were a lawyer and had to wear dress shoes more often, I’d be inclined to spend more.

Block heels are SO much easier than spike heels! I wore 3 to 3.5 inch block heels pretty much daily for years in the early 00s, but nowadays, I only wear flats, since I’d been dealing with plantar fascitis. But stretching 3x a week has cured that, so maybe I can wear fun shoes again.
